Junior to attend Gonzaga University’s Kraziness in the Kennel event

Varsity boys’ basketball small forward Nicholas Khamenia ’25 dunks the ball in a game during his sophomore season.

Boys’ basketball small forward Nikolas Khamenia ’25 will take his official visit to Gonzaga University (GU) on Oct. 6. This will be his second year attending the Zags’ Kraziness in the Kennel, an event which showcases the players and is the first look at 2023-2024 season men’s basketball team, according to Zags United. The event will include a 3-point shootout and intrasquad scrimmage.

During his sophomore season, Khamenia played for the Wolverines in the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) Open Division State Championship victory and was selected for the Los Angeles All-Mission League second team. Khamenia enters the 2023-2024 season ranked as the No. 7 recruit in California for the class of 2025, according to 247sports.com.

Khamenia has also received offers from a number of other programs, including University of California, Los Angeles, University of Illinois, University of Nevada, Las Vegas, University of Kansas, University of Oklahoma and Stanford University.
