The Wolverines won their semifinal game against Calabasas High School 69-60, on the back of Cassius Stanley ’19 who scored 27 points.
It was a back-and-forth game, with the Wolverines trailing 33-31 at the half. However an 18-2 run in the second half, propelled Harvard-Westlake to the championship game.
Stanley was aided by fellow backcourt member Ali Iken ’17 who finished with 21 points, including six three-pointers. Wolfgang Novogratz ’16 also had 11 points.
In the finals of the Joe Frasier Calabasas Tournament, the Wolverines were defeated by the Viewpoint Patriots 73-55.
Although the Wolverines finished in second place, Stanley and Iken were named to the all-tournament team.
Harvard-Westlake will take their 3-1 overall record into their next game against Heritage Christian Fri. Dec. 4 at 7 p.m. in Taper Gymnasium.
