A $5 million renovation of Reynolds Hall will complete the Middle School Modernization Project, which began in September 2006 with the construction of new academic buildings, a performing arts center and expanded athletic facilities, according to an announcement on the school’s website Thursday.
Walter and Shirley Wang contributed a $5 million lead gift toward the project in honor of President Tom Hudnut, the announcement said. Hudnut will retire at the end of this year after 26 years at the school.
Reynolds Hall currently houses art, history and language classes at the Middle School and along with the Marshall Center for athletics, has not yet been renovated completely in the ongoing modernization project.
The start date of construction has yet to be announced.
