The Wolverines defeated Agoura 2-0 on Monday night to secure their first victory of the season.
“We were very organized,” head coach Kris Ward said. “The work we did last week showed. We were organized and very determined.”
Just a single game removed from surrendering 5 goals to Hueneme, the Wolverines posted a clean sheet. Alec Katz ’19 and Asher Vogel ’19 each scored a goal apiece for the Wolverines.
“It was really guys on the bench coming up big,” Ward said. “We stuck to our gae plan but they came in and gave us an edge that put us over the top. Josh Lyons [’17] and Jacob Neuman [’18] deserve a ton of credit because they changed the game.
The game marked the first victory in Ward’s tenure, as he was hired during this past offseason.
“It feels really good,” Ward said. “But all credit to the boys for their response. They really got after it after last week and today it paid dividends.”
The team will next play at home against Culver City this Friday.
