The boys’ basketball team traveled to St. Francis and defeated the Golden Knights 59-51.
Despite a rough first half, the team managed to outscore the Golden Knights 37-25 in the second half, overcoming a 4 point half-time St. Francis lead.
This victory snaps a three-game skid of close losses for the Wolverines. The win brings the team’s record to 13-9 (5-2 league).
The squad travels to league rival Loyola Jan. 27 for a mission league matchup. The Wolverines defeated the Cubs 61-54 Jan. 4, and can sweep the regular season series against Loyola with a victory.
