Continuing an undefeated season, the boys’ lacrosse team defeated St. Francis 11-6 on March 21 to claim its seventh consecutive win for the season.
Last season, the team completed a league double over St. Francis, defeating the Golden Knights 19-8 away and 15-3 at home. After a tense first half, the team only led by two goals with a 6-4 scoreline, but a strong third quarter in which the Wolverine defense kept the opposition scoreless allowed the team to add three goals for a 9-4 score going into the fourth. The team added two and conceded two in the final quarter to take a victory with an 11-6 score.
In regular fashion, Paul Rodriguez ’18 led the team in goals, scoring four for the Wolverines. Reid Hudgins ’18 also was a major contributor, tallying three goals. Tommy Park ’18, Jared Goldman ’18, Sultan Daniels ’19 and Julian Roa ’20 all scored once.

The team will hope to continue its strong form and use the victory to boost confidence before what is arguably the biggest game of the regular season: the Loyola match. Last season, the Wolverines lost to Loyola twice during the regular season, and were eventually knocked out of the playoffs by them. The team will hope to take revenge and upset the Cubs on March 25 at home.
