The boys’ lacrosse team beat Chaminade 11-8 on March 28 away from home, extending the team’s undefeated streak to nine games.
Despite the relatively close scoreline, the team was largely in control of the match. At halftime, the Wolverines led 8-2, conceding six in the final two quarters, and only scoring three. A recurring issue for the team has been letting off the gas toward the end of the game, and the team will hope to improve upon this throughout the season.

The victory shows great improvement from the team, especially since last year when the Wolverines fell to Chaminade 14-9 near the end of the season. Paul Rodriguez ’18, who has been on fire for the team, added another four to his tally. Zac Harleston ’17 was also a major contributor, scoring three. Additionally, Tommy Park ’18 scored twice, and Donovan Econn ’19 and Whit Spain ’17 each scored once.
This victory, as well as a close win over Loyola on March 25 will give the team confidence going on with the season. The squad’s next match will be away against Crespi on April 1. Just a few weeks ago, the team dominated Crespi 15-2, and will hope to continue its winning ways.
