The boys’ lacrosse team picked up its biggest win of the season April 5, crushing Notre Dame 24-2 to remain undefeated, taking its record to 11-0.
The team improved greatly upon its last matchup against the Knights on March 18, in which the Wolverines won 14-1. A large contributor to the Wolverines’ dominant performance this time around was a solid defense, an aspect of the team that has been strong for the entirety of the season. The team conceded both goals in the first half, holding its opposition scoreless in the final two quarters.
Additionally, in this match the team did not slow down as the match progressed, an issue that has been prominent for the Wolverines this season. The Wolverines were able to stay consistent and continue scoring in the second half, building off of the 15-2 score at halftime.
The team’s next match will be against St. Francis at home April 7. Earlier in the season, the squad beat St. Francis 11-6 away, and the team will hope to repeat its performance and take another win to continue a 12-game undefeated streak.
