The boys’ lacrosse team narrowly defeated Oak Park 11-9 on April 19 to preserve its undefeated record. With the victory, the team has moved its record to 13-0 overall for the season.
Coming off of a short hiatus over Spring Break, the team was hoping to regain its stride and continue winning, and although the Wolverines struggled, they did manage to secure a victory. Last season, the team dominated Oak Park, winning 17-4, while this year the squad could only manage a two-goal victory margin.
Looking forward, the Wolverines will hope to return to dominant ways in their next match against Sierra Canyon on April 22 at home. Like the Oak Park match, the next one will also be a non-league game, but the Wolverines will still hope to pick up a victory and regain their stride. After the Sierra Canyon match, the team will face rivals Loyola in what could be the biggest game of the season April 25.
