The boys’ lacrosse team got off to a great start in the first round of the US Lacrosse Southern California Playoffs, dominating Santa Monica 13-2 on May 2.
The Wolverines were able to translate strong league form into the playoffs, and the team played similarly to how it has been playing for the whole season. The squad’s defense was extremely strong, and kept the opposition scoreless until the third quarter.

In regards to the attack, the Wolverines started the game firing on all cylinders, scoring seven goals in the first quarter, and ending the first half with a score of 10-0 in favor of the Wolverines. However, the team slowed down as the game progressed, with the team only scoring three goals in the final half.
Although the team’s opponent for the next round of playoffs is yet to be announced, the Wolverines will hope to continue their playoff run and take another win in the game May 4.
