Due to an influx of public comments, the City Planning Commission postponed discussion of the school’s parking structure proposal from Sept. 28 to a date in the foreseeable future, Los Angeles City Councilmember Paul Krekorian said in an email.
“I support this decision to delay the hearing to ensure that everyone from the community and within the Planning Department has the appropriate amount of time to vet this project properly,” Krekorian said.
President Rick Commons sent an email to parents Tuesday notifying them of the change.
In the email, Commons thanked supporters for attending the first hearing Aug. 8 and announced that St. Michael’s Church has withdrawn its opposition to the project.
“We are very pleased we were able to address their questions about the project and identify common ground with a longtime neighbor and friend,” Commons said.
