The football team won its first away league game of the season against Salesian, 47-7, on Oct. 13. The win comes after the Wolverines were thrown out by Cathedral on Homecoming night, 57-20.
The Wolverines jumped in front early with three touchdowns in the first quarter. Offensively, captains Thomas Glover ’18 and Cameron Jones ’18 both scored touchdowns. Defensively, Jake Kelly ’20 added a pick six.
The Wolverines never relinquished the lead for the rest of the game. Quarterback Jameson Wang ’20 hit Brendon Kang ’20 for a touchdown, along with scoring a rushing touchdown. Jones and Glover both scored one touchdown each by the end of the game.
On special teams, Jeremy Yariv ’18 missed two extra point attempts while making four. Charlie Mendes ’19 converted his only extra point attempt.
The team’s next match will be away against St. Paul on Oct. 20 at 7:30 p.m.
