The boys’ basketball team won a tight league matchup at Chaminade 52-46 Friday night.
The Wolverines came out of the gate firing, leading 18-2 at the end of the first quarter. From there, the Eagles mounted a steady comeback, outscoring the Wolverines in the second and fourth quarters.
Turnovers hurt the Wolverines throughout the game, as Chaminade capitalized on a Wolverines turnover with under a minute to go in the final quarter to make it a one-score game.
Johnny Juzang ’20 hit two clutch free throws to ice the game with 18 seconds remaining.
