Faculty will read “Blind Spot: Hidden Biases of Good People” by Anthony Greenwald and Mahzarin Banaji over the summer as the diversity, equity and inclusion optional summer read.
Around 175 faculty members will participate, according to Director of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Janine Jones.
Faculty will have the opportunity to discuss the book at a brown bag lunch in either September or October.
The summer read was chosen to continue discussions of DEI after implicit bias training earlier in the year, Jones said.
