Ex-Wolverine left tackle Jonathan “Moose” Martin ’08 will be headed to the Miami Dolphins, after they picked him with the 42nd pick in the second round. 

Martin was regarded by ESPN as a top-10 selection when he declared for the draft in January. 

“I think I did pretty good at the [pro day], with my sprint and my numbers,” the Stanford blindside tackle said before the draft. “It would have been nice to have done a little bit better at bench, but it is what it is. I’m glad I put up some decent numbers and I’m looking forward to being able to show what I can do.”

Martin attended the NFL Scouting Combine in late February, but was unable to perform in positional drills as he was recovering from illness. Instead, he completed drills for scouts at Stanford’s Pro Day on March 22, but with varied results.
