Baseball clinches back-to-back Mission League title with win over Loyola

By Camille Shooshani

A 7-3 victory over the Loyola Cubs earned the boys’ baseball team its second straight league championship.

Jack Flaherty ’14, who also pitched and homered in Tuesday’s 7-6 loss to Loyola, blanked the Cubs through four innings. Max Fried ’12 hit a home run in the fourth to put the Wolverines up 4-0.

The win ended the Wolverines’ regular season with a 9-2-1 record, compared to last year’s 10-2 winning record.
