The girls water polo team opened their season March 2 with an 8-5 win over Mira Costa High school. This was the team’s first game back since the athletic program shut down due to COVID-19. Players have to get tested regularly and follow safety precautions in order to play weekly.

Ayva Magna ’22 reflected on how her team played and what she is looking forward to in the upcoming season.

“I am excited the season is starting up again, and reviewing how we did in our first game I think our  team is stronger and more positive than ever,” Magna said. “Due to the COVID-19 restrictions being somewhat lifted I can’t wait to keep playing with my teammates.”

The team’s overall league record is now 1-0, and their next game is March 4, at HW, against Oaks Christian.
