Lizzy Thomas ’14 continued her winning ways with her third consecutive victory in the Mission League cluster meet at Woodley Park on Sept. 11, leading the girls’ varsity cross country team to a first overall finish.

The girls’ victory Wednesday was powered by four runners who placed in the top five, Thomas (18:29), Monica Nimmagadda ’14 (19:46), Rachel Porter ’16 (19:57), and Nicole Araya ’16 (20:09).

The boys’ squad finished fifth overall and were lead by Jack Stovitz ’16, who clocked in at 16:51. Captain David Manahan ’14 ran in his first race after sitting out the first two with a shin injury.

Both teams will next run at the Woodbridge Invitational at Estancia High School on Sept. 21, followed by the Wayne Walker Invitational at Craig Park on Sept. 27.
