Strong pitching carries baseball to 3rd win

After winning its second game of the year against Birmingham March 6, the Wolverine baseball team maintained its winning ways with a 6-1 win over Moorpark March 8 to move to 3-0 overall on the season.

Logan Simon ’14 pitched six and a third innings without giving up an earned run, the one run came off a baserunner who reached base on an error in the first inning.  A chunk of the Wolverines’ scoring came in the third inning when the team hit three doubles in a row and scored three runs.

The team next plays on March 11 as Easton Tournament play continues.
