The boys’ lacrosse team had its season abruptly ended by Oaks Christian on May 4, losing 4-3 in the second round of playoffs.
The game was very evenly matched, reflected in the lack of goals throughout the match. After a very tense first quarter, the Wolverines were up 1-0 off of a Zac Harleston ’17 goal. However, the Lions came back and the score was tied 2-2 at halftime.
At the end of the third quarter, the score was 4-3 in favor of Oaks Christian, and the score remained the same until the end of the match. For the Wolverines, Paul Rodriguez ’18 scored twice, and Harleston scored once.
Despite exiting the playoffs earlier than they did last season, the Wolverines had a very successful year, tallying a 16-2 overall record, and remaining undefeated for the first 14 games of the season.
