Boys’ basketball drops second playoff game in overtime

The boys’ basketball team fell to Rancho Verde 60-55 in the second round of CIF Playoffs Friday night.

Sophomores Johnny Juzang ’20, Mason Hooks ’20, and Brase Dottin ’20 led the scoreboard with 18, 11, and 10 points respectively.

The first quarter started strong for the Wolverines, carrying a 10-point lead until Rancho Verde retaliated and raced ahead. Throughout the second and third quarter, the Wolverines struggled to catch up to their opponent. However, the team managed to tie the score in the fourth quarter, making room for overtime, where they dropped the game in the last minute.

Coming off a successful season of 9-3 and winning the first round of CIF Playoffs against Heritage Christian 89-47 Wednesday night, the Wolverines are knocked out of the playoffs.
