The boys’ golf team won its second game of the season 214-219 against Chaminade College Preparatory in their home opener today at Wilson and Harding Golf Courses, extending their 2-0 undefeated season.
They beat Brentwood School 211-222 on Feb. 20 in their first match of the season. This was the first game taught under new program head Scott Wood. He previously served as program head for ten years, resigning in 2011 to work full-time at Merrill Lynch, a financial management and advisory company. Since then he has returned to Harvard-Westlake, coaching the Middle School Football team for four years.
The squad’s next match is tomorrow against Loyola High School at Rancho Park. Last year the Wolverines lost to Loyola 181-194 in their league matchup.
