The girls’ basketball team came closer to securing 1st place in CIF SS Div II A while vying for a tie for 1st place in the Mission League by beating the Chaminade Eagles 57-41 in Taper Gymnasium on Tuesday night.
Hilary King ‘11 and Natalie Florescu ’13 lead the Wolverines on the offensive end with 17 and 12 points respectively. Leslie Schuman ’12 and Mariana Bagneris ‘11 dominated the boards, nabbing 21 boards in total.
The Wolverines snapped a 14-game winning streak by the Eagles and will be traveling to Louisville to take on the Louisville Royals.
