Students, faculty compete in third annual Spring Festival

Students participated in activities and ate In-N-Out Burger as part of the third annual Spring Festival on March 22. The purpose of the festival, hosted by Character Committee and Community Council, was to inspire school spirit and relieve stress before spring break.

Students and faculty competed against each other in events including dodgeball, frisbee, spikeball, tug of war and basketball.

These activities served as a way to let go of stress and bond with friends, Sterling Kim ’21 said.

“I enjoyed participating in all of the Spring Festival activities, especially tug-of-war,” Kim said.  “It was a nice break from all the studying and homework. Most of the time, I only see my friends [at school] if we have mutual free periods, and we usually spend that time studying or gaming. I really liked being able to just relax and just have fun without all of the stress.”

Students also received free burgers and chips from an In-N-Out food truck.

“In-N-Out is definitely one of my favorite fast food options,” Li said, “Having an In-N-Out food truck on campus really made Spring Festival feel more special than just an everyday activity at school.”
