Boys’ basketball clinches first league win with comeback at Notre Dame

After suffering defeat at the hands of Crespi Jan. 8, the boys’ varsity basketball team surged late to earn a 71-66 come-from-behind victory over Notre Dame Friday, the team’s first win in league play this season.

The Wolverines found themselves down early in the matchup, entering the fourth quarter down by seven to the Knights, but took hold of the game in the final period. The Wolverines outscored the Knights 31-19 in the fourth to win the game.

Following Friday’s away game, the team will head back to Taper Gymnasium for its Jan. 13 matchup against St. Francis at 8-7 overall on the season.
