Football defeats El Camino Real

After three consecutive wins to start the season, the football team defeated the El Camino Real Conquistadors at home, 62-29.

The Wolverines started quickly, taking a 27-7 lead in the first quarter with two rushing touchdowns from quarterback Jameson Wang ’20 and two more passing, one to captain Cameron Jones ’18 and one to Jake Kelly ’20.

Defensively, the team locked down the Conquistadors and didn’t allow them to score throughout the second quarter. Meanwhile, the Wolverines scored three touchdowns in the second quarter. Terrell Long ’21 caught a touchdown while captain Thomas Glover ’18 and Kelly scored two rushing touchdowns.

The Wolverines scored two rushing touchdowns in the second half, one each by Glover and Wang.

On special teams, Jeremy Yariv ’18 drilled all four of his PAT attempts and Charlie Mendes ’19 scored all three of his PAT attempts.

The Wolverines’ next game will be away against Dominguez High School next Friday, with kickoff scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
