The boys’ basketball team won its league opener against Chaminade 72-57.
Guard Johnny Juzang ’20 led the team with 26 points and forward Mason Hooks ’20 had 20 points. The Wolverines started slow in the first half of the game, as the score remained close between the two teams.
However, the Wolverines pulled away in the third quarter when the team began moving the ball more and relying on Hooks in the low post.
“I think I had an advantage in the low post tonight, and we exploited it pretty well,” Hooks said.
The team will prepare to play at Notre Dame Friday at 7 p.m.
“We have practice tomorrow and Notre Dame on Friday, so we’re going to do as much work as we can and we’ll be ready on Friday,” Hooks said.
