Wildlife field trip is cancelled due to lack of sign-ups

The Carrizo Plain camping and community service field trip has been canceled due to lack of enrollment. The trip, which was scheduled for this weekend, was planned in order to help the antelope and elk in the area by assisting a wildlife biologist in removing the barbed wire fences that surround the grasslands. Science teacher Wendy Van Norden was the trip organizer and chaperone, and now plans to go to the site alone. The trip was originally planned by retired science teacher Dr. Craig Deutsche through the Sierra Club.
