Girls’ basketball off to strong start

With Yoyo Greenfield ’07, who has already committed to Yale, at the helm, the girls’ basketball team is off to a 4-2 start.
Greenfield is averaging 16.0 points per game but is still looking to win her first Mission League title with the team. The team only had three wins in league play last year.
The team is filled with young talent including freshmen Nicole Hung, Sydney Haydel and Nicole Nesbit in the starting five. Hung was named a Los Angeles Times top performer yesterday after her play in a 56-45 win over Saugus.
The team went 2-2 in the Brea Olinda tournament with wins over Canyon Springs and Mater Dei.
