Water polo beats Corona Del Mar 12-8

The fourth ranked boys’ varsity water polo team hammered out
a 12-8 upset win over third ranked Corona Del Mar Wednesday, Sept. 17 to
improve its record to 2-0.

The Wolverines took an early lead over Corona Del Mar,
scoring five goals in the first quarter. The scoring was distributed among many
team members, with almost the entire starting lineup claiming a goal.

“This win was huge for us,” starter James McNamara ’10 said. “We
came together as a team and were forced for the first time this season to trust
and rely on each other.”
