Many enthusiastic fans gathered to watch the Wolverines’ water polo team face league foe Cathedral on Homecoming, and they were rewarded with a four-overtime nail-biter. The Wolverines ultimately prevailed on a winning goal by Kayj Shannon ’11.
The Wolverines got off to a quick start, and by half time were leading 5-3. However, the Cathedral Phantoms managed to comeback and lead 9-7, only for the Wolverines to respond and tie the game at 9-9.
For three overtimes the Wolverines and Phantoms battled, until Shannon finally managed to make the winning goal in a sudden-death fourth overtime.
