The Wolverines beat Perris 24-4 in a dominant first game before moving on to face Upland in the next round. The team beat Upland 10-1, then moved on to beat Crescenta Valley 9-7 to secure a spot in the tournament quarter-finals in which they lost to Troy 12-5.
Despite the loss, the team ended on a high note by defeating Bonita 9-8 in overtime thanks to a Camille Oswald ’17 goal. Taking third place overall, the squad hopes to build off of this successful tournament performance and continue to dominate the Mission League.
The squad is currently tied for first in the league standings with Alemany and Louisville, and hopes to solidify the position as the lone league leader in the coming weeks. The Wolverines’ next game is away against Louisville on Jan. 31.
