Field hockey scores 15th win in undefeated season

The field hockey team beat Bonita 2-0 today, remaining undefeated.

The game marked the Wolverine’s second victory over Bonita, shutting them out 2-0 earlier in the season as well.

The team managed the win despite the absence of key players Natalie Barnouw ’21 and team captain Mia Reilly ’18.

Team captain Alyse Tran ’18 said that the team managed to hit more of a stride later in the game.

“After we were able to score in the last 13 minutes there was a really big shift and we dominated the rest of the game,” Tran said. “They were a pretty physical team but we were able to keep our composure and play our own game.”

Now 15-0, the team will play Chaminade and Westlake before advancing to the playoffs. The Wolverines beat the teams 6-0 and 3-0 earlier in season, respectively.

Head coach Erin Creznic watches the Wolverines face Bonita.
