The boys tennis team won 18-0 against Crespi High School on April 29 at home. The squad’s record is now 9-1 overall and 7-1 in Mission League play.

Singles player Emilio Cue ’22 said the team’s work ethic contributed to its victory.

We put our hearts out and had fun at the same time,” Cue said. “I am proud to be part of a team that works hard to achieve but also enjoys the journey.”

While the squad is happy with the team’s performance so far, Cue said that they still have a lot more work to do.

“We are far from finished and we need to work a lot more to get to where we want to go,” Cue said.

The squad dominated its match against Crespi High School, winning by the biggest margin of the season so far. This was the third match in three days for the team, and the squad took all three: the squad won against both Notre Dame High School and Calabasas High School before its match against Crespi High School.

The squad looks to continue its season against Loyola High School at home on May 4. After the squad plays Loyola High School, the Wolverines will finish out their season with matches against St. Francis High School on May 6 and Viewpoint High School on May 11.
