The starting defensive lineup for the varsity football game Sept. 22.

The varsity football team lost a home game 35-10 against the Northview High School Vikings on Sept. 22.

With Northview in the lead 21-3, wide receiver Connor Bunnak ’24 scored a touchdown and Borris finished it off with a successful Point After Touchdown (PAT). The Wolverines did not score any more points throughout the third and fourth quarters, while Northview scored 14 more points, giving the Vikings the win.

Kicker Ellie Borris ’25 played in place of kicker Josh Barnavon ’24 due to his hamstring injury. Borris said he was grateful to have the opportunity of scoring his first field goal on varsity last Friday.

“It was super fun being able to be out on the field with the guys and it had been something I was looking forward to for a long time, so I’m glad for the opportunity and I look forward to many more,” Borris said.

This game puts the team’s overall season record at 2-2, slightly behind their record this time last year which stood at 3-2.
