The girls’ volleyball team defeated Notre Dame Academy 3-2 at home Oct. 5. After losing the first two sets, the Wolverines won three straight sets to win the match. The team moves to a total record of 8-16 with a league record of 2-6.

The game was also the team’s senior night, which celebrated setter Chloé Dolkart ’24, defensive specialist Malia Yap ’24 and outside hitter Kelsey Kim ’24. Kim said the comeback victory was a positive moment for the team during a difficult season.

“I think it was really special just because of the fact that we’ve had a really rough season as a whole,” Kim said. “It was really good to get everything going on senior night and push for the last three games of the season to be the best games of the season.”

Kim said she is confident in the team’s preparation for Homecoming.

“We’ve been preparing for Homecoming all week, just trying to get ready to play some big, heavy hitters on the other team, especially this girl on my [club] team,” Kim said. “I’m really excited to play her and get a win.”

The team’s next game is against Mayfield High School at home during the school’s 2023 Homecoming on Oct. 7.
