The football team is scheduled to play Crespi at SoFi Stadium on Saturday, October 23, for their second-to-last game of the season. The school is coming off a dominant 36-12 win over Cantwell-Sacred Heart and sits 1-2 in the Del Rey League and 3-5 overall in the CIF Southern Section.
Quarterback Aaryan Medhi-Williams ’27 said it is a “must-win” matchup.
“It’s a big stage for us to showcase how good we are in an important game,” Medhi-Williams said. “It’s an amazing opportunity for us to compete in an environment like SoFi Stadium.”
Crespi (8-0), who beat Harvard-Westlake 7-0 in last year’s week eight matchup, is undefeated through week eight and first in the Del Rey League. Running back August Sone ’27 said the team is looking forward to playing at SoFi Stadium and hopes to take advantage of the unique venue.
“We all think it’s a big opportunity to showcase the team,” Sone said. “The team hasn’t been more excited to play all season.”
Cornerback Luke Touloumian ’27, who missed the first eight weeks with a left hamstring strain, attributes his recovery to trainer Dunford Rodill.
“In order to be physically prepared to get back out there on Saturday, I’ve been doing physical therapy with Dunford every day,” Touloumian said. “He deserves a lot of credit for helping me during my recovery process.”
Entering week nine, the school is tied with La Salle for fourth in the Del Rey League and will play its last game of the season on Oct. 31.
