Velvet Daisies raises more than $1300 for children’s charity

Velvet Daisies, a club that sells handmade crafts and donates the profit to the Children’s Institute, raised more than $1300 from a two-day bake sale that ended Dec. 10. Members of the club made holiday cards that came with baked goods with any donation.

Students could name their own price for the cards, which were made by members throughout the year. The cards could be sent to someone on campus to be delivered by club leaders by Friday, or taken home.
