Our Mission

The Holloway is a student-led environmental journal that features articles, papers, case studies, videos, and other art mediums that feature content related to the environment and the escalating climate crisis. Our aim is to raise community awareness around environmental issues in order to spur fellow students to take action. We hope to inspire a meaningful discourse about climate change and our role in it, urging readers to make a conscious effort to consider and mitigate their own daily impact on the world around us.

Our name is inspired by holloways – ancient paths carved through dense forests that were once used to connect villages and communities. The name, thus, grounds us in our environmental mission while simultaneously conveying the sense of movement and action that we hope to inspire.

Our Team

Beckham Williams ’28 is the Founder & Editor-in-Chief of The Holloway. He founded the journal in 2026 with the goal of raising awareness around environmental issues and creating a platform for students to express their personal response to climate change.

Alexander Ahn ’28 is the digital managing editor, the Big Red Sports Magazine and The Holloway. He plays oboe in the Chamber Orchestra and is in the Science Olympiad. In his free time, he enjoys playing golf and playing the piano.

Jackson Sun-Woo ’27 serves as the Executive Editor of The Holloway, joining through his participation in the Environmental Club, using his free time to contribute to the journal through his editing ability and motivation to raise awareness around environmental issues.
