Justin Kirchner

Right-handed pitcher Justin Kirchner ’27 has dominated on the mound for the Wolverines this year, going 6-0 with a 0.43 ERA and 0.898 WHIP through his first 10 starts. Kirchner threw his first complete game of the season against Wakefield High School (NC) in a 16-0 mercy-rule win at the National High School Invitational in Cary, NC. In his next start on March 31, Kirchner allowed no hits against Loyola High School, striking out 13 batters in 100 pitches. On April 14, Kirchner threw a complete game against Mission League rival Notre Dame High School. Kirchner struck out 14 batters over six innings against St. Francis High School on April 21. In total, he has struck out 79 batters in 49 innings and allowed just three earned runs, cementing his case as the favorite for Mission League Pitcher of the Year.
Ethan Joyce

Setter Ethan Joyce ’28 has played a crucial role in the boys volleyball 19-4 record so far this year. In his first year on varsity, Joyce has stepped into a role as one of two starting setters in a 6-2 rotation. Joyce combines his mobility with touch to consistently set his hitters up for success both on the pins and in the middle. A member of Rockstar Volleyball Club during the club season, Joyce has played in the Open Division against high-level competition to improve his play and prepare him for his starting role. The Wolverines are ranked 66th in MaxPreps’ final CIF Southern Section rankings. With the regular season complete, Joyce and his fellow Wolverines will continue to work and prepare for playoffs over the next week.
Aiden Zadeh

Singles player Aiden Zadeh ’28 is a five-star recruit, ranked in the top 10 in California for his class. Despite being an underclassman, Zadeh has been crucial in the Varsity team’s singles lineup for two years. As a freshman, Zadeh played as number one singles during the Open Division Southern California Regional finals. During the National High School All-American Tournament, Zadeh went undefeated and gave the school their only match win during the finals, beating a top recruit from Menlo High School. He hits heavy topspin and deep shots, forcing his opponents into a defensive position, which allows him to take control of his matches. Along with big shots, Zadeh emphasizes placement and consistently makes difficult angles, widening the court his opponent must cover. Zadeh will be one of two singles players competing for the school in the Mission League Individuals Tournament. Going into playoffs and Individuals, Zadeh has the ability to win crucial matches.
Aiden Han

Golfer Aiden Han ’27 has been a key contributor to the boys golf team this season. Han joined the program in his freshman year and has continued to develop into a reliable player through consistent performance in both practice and matches. Han has earned opportunities in matches by demonstrating power off the tee, driving over 320 yards combined with consistency on the greens. Known for his composure and focus, he plays the course effectively, limiting mistakes and executing on scoring opportunities. Han’s steady game has given the Wolverines stabilityin competitive matchups against league opponents. Beyond his individual rounds, he brings value to the team environment through his work ethic and commitment. As the season progresses, Han continues to contribute with dependable performances, helping the Wolverines remain competitive against strong opponents.
Parker Plurad

Midfielder Parker Plurad ’27 has been on the boys varsity lacrosse team since he joined the school in ninth grade. He is also a member of the Mad Dog West Elite club team outside of school. Although the team finished the season with an overall record of 2-12, Plurad has greatly contributed by making a total of 20 goals. Notable moments include scoring four out of the team’s five goals in a game against Viewpoint School on March 12. In addition, Plurad scored a hat trick in both games against Sierra Canyon School on April 7 and April 14. Overall, Plurad’s offensive presence will benefit the Wolverines next season.
Ainsley Nutting

Catcher Ainsley Nutting ’26 has been a key contributor to the Wolverines’ 6-7 record this season. Nutting has been seen as a catcher, first base, third baseand in the outfield, providing defensive flexibility across multiple positions. At the plate, she has a .506 batting average with 24 hits in 19 games. As the school’s varsity captain and 2025 Offensive Most Valuable Player (MVP), Nutting also earned second-team All-Mission League honors in 2025 and first-team All-Angeles League recognition in 2024. She competes in club softball during the offseason, including appearances in the PGF National Championships and the Champions Cup. With the regular season nearing its conclusion, Nutting and the Wolverines will prepare for postseason play.
