Despite rolling into its first round playoff game on a five-game win streak, the boys’ varsity soccer team fell to St. John Bosco Braves 2-1 Friday on its home field.

The Wolverines struck first with a goal early in the game and kept their lead through the first half, but the Braves came back after halftime, scoring twice to seize the lead. With minutes left, the Wolverines made two close attempts on goal, but ultimately couldn’t pull off a score.

The elimination game ended the team’s season, adding one more loss to its 14-9-5 final record.
