Boys Soccer shutout Crespi High School 2-0 today after defeating Agoura High School 5-0 Nov. 27 and Beverly Hills High School 5-0 Friday, marking the team’s third straight win of the season.

Defender Pablo Greenlee ’20 scored both goals for the Wolverines in the second half.

“We try to focus on being a team that’s hard to beat and that’s what we did today,” Greenlee said. “The goals will come for us as long as we do that and work for each other.”

The team is currently 3-0 without giving up a goal. Despite the strong start to the season, midfielder Gabriel Palacios ’20 said that he believes the team can still improve before competing in the Santa Barbara Showcase Tournament this weekend.

“We need to focus on moving the ball from side to side more efficiently and faster, rather than going vertical most of the time,” Palacios said. “Also, we need to put more pressure on the opposing team when they have the ball.”

The Wolverines are scheduled to play Dos Pueblos High School, Capo Valley High School and Moorpark High School on Friday and Saturday in the Santa Barbara Showcase Tournament.
